About Us
MAK99 Interiors is a Washington D.C. based design studio delivering beautifully tailored interiors to complement lifestyles in London, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. Maple Adams-Krygier is the primary designer, trained in both interior and landscape design.
With the client’s lifestyle as the north star, MAK99 Interiors aims to create luxurious yet functional spaces. The joy and comfort of a stylish space must reflect the client’s aspiration. Using our broad experience, we guide their vision to result in homes which stand the test of time, not just follow the latest trends.
Careful consideration is given to the use of space, and to how relative scale and form impact an effortless, luxurious outcome — all done with the greatest attention to quality in reaching a refined finish. Projects range from domestic home remodels and renovations through to delivering luxury residential new builds.
The best result is achieved when we are engaged with the client and the architect or contractor at the conceptual point in a project. This is when ergonomics and design are most effectively conveyed, and you get the best outcome in form and function.
Maple Adams-Krygier
Principal Designer & Founder
Maple graduated in finance and worked on Wall Street and The City in London, but design has always been at the core of who she is. Much to her roommate’s amusement, in college she would rearrange their flat to dizzying frequency, always looking to optimise the space.
She studied and received her certification in London at the world-renowned Inchbald School of Design. After several years working in the UK, she moved back to America, taking on residential design remodels and consulting with architects on renovations in Surrey, United Kingdom. MAK99 was formed in 2013 and has steadily grown and continues to evolve, covering all areas of interior architecture and design.

Building a home or renovating a room can be a stressful process. With experience and problem-solving skills, we can create a unique space moulded from your vision. I have travelled extensively to study spaces, structures and historic buildings, and use these experiences to interpret and draw inspiration from the most abstract and remote possibilities.
The smaller the space or the more complicated the problem, the greater the need for imaginative solutions.
