A narrow urban plot reimagined as a duality — classic architectural symmetry at the front, minimalist modern geometry to the rear.

Set on a narrow urban plot with a north–south exposure, the south-facing front offered a unique opportunity to create a duality: classic architectural symmetry at the front, juxtaposed against the geometry of minimalist modern aesthetics to the rear.

The classic proportions grounded the home in the space and established its presence, while the modern architectural lines of the north façade were guided by limited light exposure. The exterior theme was continued throughout the interior, exercising restraint and respecting that less is more.

Subtle classicism at the front transitions seamlessly at the midpoint of the interior into pared-back, modern minimalist living. Restricted in footprint, the emphasis was placed on volume — soaring ceiling heights that give the impression of scale.
